Starting from October 8, 2012 low cost carrier Pegasus Airlines will perform regular flights from Batumi to Istanbul. Passengers of Batumi International Airport will have the unique chance to travel to Europe (via Istanbul) starting from 49.99 Euro. “We are glad that the first low cost carrier entered Batumi International Airport. It means that our passengers can travel all around the world by very affordable tariffs. As per primary data of 2012 (January-August) the number of transferred passengers in Batumi International Airport exceeded the figure of the previous year by 26.67 %. We are sure that this number will significantly rise after the cheap flight became available from Batumi.” – said TAV Georgia’s General Manager Mete Erkal. During the summer season the flights will be performed four times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Passengers will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
